Has anyone had luck getting JetBlue to refund flights for covid? I am disgusted with how they are handling this situation. I don’t want a stupid travel credit.

A travel credit allows them to keep the cash on hand to fund operations which they desperately need right now. They're not obligated to give you anything and you'll use the travel credit later on. JetBlue has incredible customer service though, if you ask nicely they will probably refund you cash.

I'm sorry that the facts don't support your feelings but if you were just looking for reinforcement then you should've said so.

Here's some ideas:
1. Go publicly shame them on social media. JetBlue tends to be most receptive on Twitter.
2. Call the DOT. If you feel like the flight was cancelled and a same day alternative was not provided, they are breaking the law by not providing a refund.
3. Call your states' attorney general
4. Initiate a chargeback with your credit card (unlikely to be accepted but will have it taken off your bill for at least 2 months)
5. Cite the JetBlue passenger bill of rights with customer service (you can find this online). It says that travel credit will be provided but they've given me an additional $600 before because I had to contact them to initiate a refund for a cancelled flight (due to mechanical issue).

Almost all airlines are only giving credits or free changes, this is not a Jet Blue issue. I had a flight to SE Asia with United that was supposed to be this week, I did not get a refund and just got a no fee change. Not sure why you’re “disgusted” by this behavior...

No not OP 🤦🏼‍♀️ - my flight was canceled and they are not honoring their obligation to refund me. The government is going to bail out the airline industry - not me

Met a guy on Grindr who was visiting my city for the week. We had dinner Friday night. Met up again Sat afternoon and spent a full 24 hours together. Enough in common to keep the conversation going, not get on my nerves, and enough chemistry to be attracted too. Is the next step plan a trip and hang out again for a day or two? I acknowledge jumping to anything more serious than travel buddies would be challenging and unlikely given the distance. Thoughts?

Pt. 1: Alright, here's my concern. I understand bus drivers are hard to come by. When you got 'em, you want to keep 'em. Our district is in short supply and we recently found out a player (players) on one of our athletic teams, along with a coach (coaches) has tested positive for Covid, OR been exposed. A few of us drivers recently drove this team to an away game within this past week yet none of us were notified if we might have possibly been the driver to one or more of these players/staff.

Etiquette question - my company is flying me out to England in October for a week ( the week of the 3rd) and paying for my flights. I’ll be training new teammates and be in day long meetings the whole time. Is it a faux pas for me to use PTO and extend that Europe stay for a few days to explore London on my own time? Or since they’re flying me out and I have to get home anyway, is it ok?

Hello all,

I’m a recent graduate of masters and currently have 2 offers in my hand.

1) One with CITI Bank with 100k salary and no sign on bonus and as it is in my home town as I stay with my family needs no relocation bonus required.

2) This is with American Airlines in Dallas Fort Worth which offered 100k + 10k bonus + 18k relocation bonus (required)

Which ofer should I consider given I’m a new graduate and this is going to be my first job. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Trying to set family expectations and would love thoughts on 2 things. 1. How long after baby will I be ready for visitors beyond our parents? I’m thinking a few weeks. 2. Our 3 grandmothers are 1-3 hour flights away (3 diff places) and cannot travel. When will we be ready to take baby to see them? I’m thinking 4-6 months but that would also be flu/RSV season. Can’t predict the future but family is already talking about trips and I want to set expectations and do what is best for baby. TIA!!

If you were a candidate that was reached out to by an internal recruiter and went through 5 interviews spanning more than one month would you be put off by the fact that the company couldn’t even have bothered to get back to you that they went another direction? What a poor experience as a candidate I had with them. Would they want to know or even care? Like at least thank someone for all their time and be courteous.
