A public trust is super quick so I would apply for every posting with that requirement. When you talk about sponsoring clearances it’s secret and above. Public trusts aren’t transferable so usually when switching agencies you’ll go through the investigation again usually a month or 2 at most.
Now is just not the best time to look for a GovCon job… feel free to ask further questions
I did but that was a year ago, and it was for a position that only needed a public truest. However, now is probably not the best time. I haven’t seen many postings at all that aren’t for people without clearances already…
I did and was hired in late 2023. My clearance process was very quick (took about a week). Networking was key to me landing the job in the first place, which might've helped the issue of not having a (public trust) clearance already.
Oh and technically my role was entry-level, maybe mid
A public trust is technically not a clearance. Applying for a true clearance with DOD etc means repeat whole application and public trust won’t save any time. It does however increase confidence you’re a reliable person likely to get cleared.
