Has anyone made the jump from full-time to freelance consulting? I’m curious about how the compensation packages differ and if you found the change financially beneficial. Any regrets?

I have a MHA, MBA, and BSHA. I’m wanting to get into a supervisor or manger role but I don’t have the experience. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I dive in and start getting the experience I need? I live in Washington and work in Oregon. Also, anything using my MBA would be favored as well, this degree is not healthcare specific. Thank you!

Senior leadership is so unforgiving that I fear by giving notice, I’ll be asked to leave and lose out on two weeks pay.

So I was offered a role in Strategy Consulting in after 2 years in Risk Consulting however, after 2 years I’ve only worked on Internal audit engagements few ad hocs such as updating risk register and the delegation of authority matrix.

Honestly speaking I am doing good and I am up for promotion in October however I am not fully enjoying my time but I fear that the move would not be a good and I can’t hit the ground running which scares me.

Hello, Need an advice on my offer from Deloitte. I am on OPT and looking for H1B sponsorship this year, recruiter said they will do it but I am wondering if I join after 2 weeks will they be able to do it as there won’t be much time left. My current company will file H1 for me. I got an offer for a consultant role at D with 25$k extra than my current salary and 10$k sign in bonus but I am currently working as a Sr Con. Interviewed for Deloitte S&A Tech Strategy SC and got a verbal offer for Consultant instead. I negotiated the offer to 120K salary and 10K signing bonus. I’m a boomerang with 4 years ERP consulting but this past year I’ve been doing DEI Consulting. Spoke with former colleagues who rejoined Deloitte and got a much higher offer for SC. How do I go back to the recruiter to negotiate further? I suggested that I’d probably sign but need time to think. Now I’d like to go back and request 140k salary.
