Has anyone moved from big 4 to the siegfried group and actually enjoyed it? What do you miss the most in big 4 compared to siegfried?

Siegfried gets a lot of crap on Fishbowl (some of it justified, honestly). But I’ve been with the firm for almost 2 years and still really like it. I like that my work is more of a value-add to my clients than it felt when I was in audit.

That being said, I felt like I had more flexibility in audit (outside of busy season). Since a lot of the work at Siegfried is project-based you might be busy at different times of the year. But on the same note, my current project let me take a week-long vacation last month, and that never would’ve happened if I had been in audit.

I’m not here forever, but I knew I didn’t want to jump to industry right away after leaving my B4 firm, so this has been a really good fit and I’ve gotten a lot of relevant industry experience because of it. Let me know if you want to know more!

Im currently trying to switch from the RE finance industry to tech as a project manager. My current title is project manager w/ 4yrs experience and over 10 years of transferable skills. Ive also recently obtained my CAPM. In my current job I dont feel as if Im gaining any of the project management skills. Considering everything I’ve had to learn. My company does not use any PM softwares. For someone in my position would a salary range of $80-$90k be considered too low, or too high?

I am looking to transition from an administrative job to an HR position, and it seems impossible to find something because most job postings require years and years of HR experience, and I can’t even make it through to the interview stage despite my 6 years of administrative experience. Currently have the FRM title.
I failed CFA level 3 once.

I'm hoping to eventually do CAIA, but only after I'm done with CFA. I'm also hoping to do non-financial certifications, like Certified analytics professional (CAP), and learn about web development.

While I may have the title of manager, I am still an individual contributor. The type of work I do involves quantitative analysis/data analysis/science.

Any suggestions as to what I should start with?

Working as a Senior Accountant at Vanguard with my CPA; 3 YOE, Greater Philadelphia area. Took this job to give accounting one more try and while I don’t regret it I’m bored. Anything in finance more challenging/less box-checking? People have recommended public but I’m not interested in audit/tax or travel.

I have two years of accounting experience. 1 in external public audit and 1 in industry. I also have about 5 years of digital transformation experience. (Contract work) As well as some other industry specific experience in the insurance market. Does anyone have any advice on a consulting route I can take? Also if anyone would be willing to extend a referral please let me know. Currently in the ATL area. Also have my MBA from a non-target. No CPA (but eligible)

Hi folks. I’m a data scientist at a T2/B4 firm that does fairly technical work. I am prepping for interviews to transition to SWE-data at a big tech company and currently have a little over 1 yoe.

Since prep usually takes a while for swe, I have not started seriously applying. However, I am likely to receive an offer for 110-120k at another consulting firm. I was hoping to get some thoughts from other technical folks that made the transition. More in comments

Any advice on getting your foot in the door in the Big 4 companies or the like, ie: PwC, Deloitte, etc. I feel like I have the perfect experience for some of these posted roles but the online application process is a black hole. Should I renege offer from MBB?

An MBA recent grad. I signed with MBB last year. However, I have always wanted to do tech PM. I couldn’t find PM job in Fall and just signed MBB offer I have. I recently got an FAANG offer. It’s PM function, hard to break in with consulting experience. I declined the new offer during interview stage and again after they gave me initial offer, but it is coming back with 80k more in annual compensation. It made me so torn!! Should I renege MBB offer?
