Siegfried gets a lot of crap on Fishbowl (some of it justified, honestly). But I’ve been with the firm for almost 2 years and still really like it. I like that my work is more of a value-add to my clients than it felt when I was in audit.
That being said, I felt like I had more flexibility in audit (outside of busy season). Since a lot of the work at Siegfried is project-based you might be busy at different times of the year. But on the same note, my current project let me take a week-long vacation last month, and that never would’ve happened if I had been in audit.
I’m not here forever, but I knew I didn’t want to jump to industry right away after leaving my B4 firm, so this has been a really good fit and I’ve gotten a lot of relevant industry experience because of it. Let me know if you want to know more!
Also currently work for TSG and would say ditto to everything you said!
Answer to your first question: no. Why would you subject yourself to that? Go to industry if you want money, it’s easy.
