Came from Accenture to KPMG. I enjoyed the culture at Accenture more. I was able to try different roles and stretch roles. Teams had more diversity and people from all walks of life. Accenture is a huge company so a bit disorganized internally but that didn’t bother me.
I don’t see the culture at KPMG, or maybe haven’t been here long enough. Very risk averse here so putting employees into stretch roles doesn’t seem to be common. KPMG is more organized and projects seem like they are in better control. Accenture has a huge training budget for employees so I did lots of training every year.
I like it at KPMG. Definitely less focus on methodologies and sharing information than I had seen at Accenture. Smaller groups can help...or hurt I guess. Makes it easier to network and know what projects are out there. For me I liked coming to KPMG second because I got to shine for a bit from all the stretch roles at Accenture
