I know the job market is not that great as of now but I’ve applied to countless PM roles and have had no success. What's the best way to switch from sales to completely marketing domain? Have been taking up product marketing initiatives and content management as secondary KRAs to develop a base(My primary KRA is business development). Can someone suggest how we can go about the switch and how can we show value to recruiters when switching jobs?

I left biglaw after 3 years to a mid-size firm. Took a pay cut but the hours, people, culture and work were so much better I never thought twice about the salary or “prestige.” Ultimately I started 2 very small firms. I am not rich by biglaw standards but I have a very comfortable life and put my kids through college with no debt. 35 years after leaving big law, people are still impressed when I say I started there. I feel like I still had the benefits of the connection w/o the suffering.

My dad technically left big law after a month of it in 1968. He went on to have an amazing career in both law and politics. Has even been deemed important enough to have his own Wikipedia. Sky’s the limit!

Mine was $16k (minimum wage before joining corporate) > $40k (contractor total before getting laid off) > $150k (current FT)?

Is that a 260% jump or 2.6x from $16k to $40k?
And a 375% jump or 3.75x from $40k to $150k?

Or do I calculate it by hourly rate?

We use Deloitte India for a number of parts of our delivery. Recently I have seen some unethical practices that violate labor laws and do not align with Deloitte principles.
