I have 3yrs of experience with the same firm and am currently working as a sales analyst for the institutional sales team in NA. I am classified as an agent selling health insurance but there’s a private email I recently gained access to showing the company is using my broker license and I suspected that since I’m the agent of record on a lot of business. They pay for everything including leads but I’m working as an agent in one email whereas there’s another showing I’m using my license as a broker. I get $43,000 salary plus commissions so averaging $80 K a year. Any advice?

I’m an Inside sales rep and when I transferred into a different department for similar role, I did it for commission purposes and in hopes of increase salary. I wanted to apply for ISR II but was told everyone must start off as a level I (even though I was an ISR 1 for almost two years). After I accepted the new role, a month later a rep on my previous team (who was hired 6 months after me) was hired on as a level two. I was disappointed because I felt lied to but also noticed (Cont in comments)

I’ve been prepping myself to ask for a raise. My annual review (I’ve been at the company just about a year) is happening by the end of March. Should I bring up my request now or should I ask at the review itself? Since I haven’t been at the company long, I have no idea if there’s buckets, or if they will give decent raises this year due to inflation. My request will mostly be based my workload being switched to a much heavier area 2 months after hire (almost 2x the work).
