Everything is free when you're expensing it.
You know what’s free? Calling the front desk and asking if the snacks are free
Haha. That’s the n00b-iest questions I’ve ever seen
Yes - go for it!!!!! Don’t listen to these nincompoops who say you’ll have to pay for them
Yes, but only if you finish them all in an hour. Then they’ll put your name on a snack bowl in the lobby and give you a T-shirt
They basically get, say, $100 per day on the project, with no check on how much they actually spend. Therefore, if they spend only $80 on a given day, they get an extra $20 in comp.
I find this to be a bit of a crooked model as I encourages you to be stingy. A bit like project that don’t pass expenses through to clients but charge a fixed amount - encourages partners to force the team to be frugal, as all the remainder goes straight to their pocket
But no, there's a price sheet in the room if you actually need a real answer.
Unless it says “FREE,” I don’t mess with it.
Miss the days where the Intercontinental had free mini-bar for top tier members. Andaz also has free snacks and non-alcoholic drinks..
Seriously though, who cares if they're free? You're expensing it anyway so it's essentially free to you.
See if there is anything FREE or COMPLIMENTARY written. Take pictures for evidence purpose. Usually it not worth buying anything from mini bars. Well if you did not have a chance to use your billable meals then go for it.
EY1 what is a "billable meal"? Are you given a quota?
Yeah the big 4 get per diems so anything not spent in a day is just extra salary for them
Non partners at B4 have per diem depending on client. Partners don’t
So anything you eat or drink comes out of a daily allowance? Is it variable by location or fixed? That would be so frustrating to have an additional administrative burden while traveling.
