This is a solvable problem.
Are you willing to work 70% more hours for 50% more pay? If yes, then change jobs. If no, then stay where you are and enjoy the free time.
You’re not underpaid.
I feel better post reading this comment, the answer is no. I’m not willing to give my WLB up.
I have not worked a weekend in 4 years. That has value too.
Wow for 4 YOE? That's awesome (seriously) especially with those hours. For context, I was making 150k as a first year SM (1 level below partner at my current firm) and 105 as a first year Manager. That was before fishbowl and all of this salary dick waving comparison shit. If you're comfortable at your current salary, working less than 8 hours a day (assuming you're taking lunch breaks etc) and never working weekends...you have something a lot of us don't. Time.
$ isn't everything. With your hrs you have time for hobbies, fitness, friends, family...
Are you in the industry? If so, you are competing with people on this app in auditing/consulting who work a lot of hours, weekends, and late nights. We better get paid a lot more for what we have to do lol

💀 same, triggering is an understatement Lmfaoo..I’ve found some great mentors along the way now, or I’d be looking at greener lands

There are people with 4 y/o experience who make 250k and there are some who make 70k. Comparing yourself to them isn’t really helpful.
Could you make more? Absolutely. Do you want to give away the fantastic wlb you have? Only you can answer that.
Haha I made 30k at 4 yoe, not at bah. Didn’t reach 100k until 10 yoe. Pay on this app is pretty inflated
125k and great WLB. Project isn’t even interesting, but am definitely not trading current WLB for a raise.
I respect the MBB dweebs tho - I wouldn’t be able to do it!

Most of us don’t work weekends either. It’s just a lot more hours during the week.
It’s a big reason why the compensation is so much more.
Dude I was giving you a compliment and you come back with an insult. Come on now. Good for you, that's awesome you can fit it all in in 50-60 hours a week. It really is. You can use the rest of your time to be a jerk I guess!

Getting a great work life balance does cost. I make $115k base and it’s totally worth the 15-20 hours fewer a week and flexibility I have that I probably wouldn’t at another firm that paid 20% more. I also get a huge amount of support on my professional development goals that contributes to my job satisfaction and may not be as feasible somewhere that expected more charge hours of me.
This 🙌🏾🙌🏾. This is the type of company I want to work for!
Yes - I work for a small boutique consulting firm.
First of all, everything you read on here isn’t accurate. And 2, if you wanna make double, work double.
4 YOE… you have a lot to learn little grasshopper. People like Jeff Beso are in a completely different category. That’s not what I’m talking about here. You’ve worked 4 years and you think $107k is low. Okay, the way you’ll make more money is to gain a skill set and build seniority. I know zero Managing Directors at JPM working your 9-5. With more seniority comes money and responsibility. Oh, and maybe working some time on the weekends because you’re.always.on.
