I'm not understanding what the problem is. You apparently needed a job, so you accepted one "out of panic." Unless there's some substantial reason why you're remorseful, it sounds like you should just take the win. If you don't like the job you can always find another, but in the meantime it's a chance to get things stabilized and not be doing things out of panic.
Yes. I accepted the job and landed somewhere I regret. If you don’t have to commit, don’t. Take your time to think about it.
Listen to your gut but make an informed decision.
Yes, I did and to be fair the employer only gave me the next day to decide and be in the office that morning to begin work. The offer was low as they would stipend my wages for insurance or no insurance and I keep the full wages. (Just say you don't offer insurance, sheesh!) Also, PTO accrual begins after one year with only 5 days given. I stayed up all night thinking about this and sent them an email apologizing for the acceptance but the offers given would not meet my compensation needs for the skills and experience I have. So, its okay to have buyers remorse, that is your gut telling you the job is not a good fit.
You always have options, you can quit after you start.
Yes. I was hired on the spot at a toxic immigration firm and then fired 2 weeks later after they made me promise I wouldn’t quit for at least a year in exchange for paying my UBE transfer fee lol
If you have a job now and don’t have to leave, you can still politely decline the offer. If you need a job, you can join and keep applying other jobs. Remember you always have options. Don’t panic, it will be fine
If you need it, take it. You can keep trying otherwise.
Did this same thing. Made a panicked decision and accepted an offer I didn't really want to take because it was the first yes I got.
Gonna be making less than a middle class wage, working 45hr weeks in a sweattlement shop. At least these people will train me.
Hopefully I have time to study for the LSAT and I don't die during one of my commutes.
It's also eating me up. I think we just take it one day at a time and try to figure out next steps. The advice I've always gotten is that the best time to look for a job is when you have a job.
