Hi fishes,
I interviewed with Siemens Energy for SAP ABAP position on 21st Jan. The interview went on for about an hour and in the end, the interviewer asked my expected ctc and wanted assurance if I won't negotiate on Siemens offer with some other company as i am currently serving notice period and join Siemens if provided an offer.
Till now , the HR team has not reached out to me for salary discussions and my LWD is 7th Feb. Can i expect a call or i got rejected ?Siemens

I'm not really interested in stock benefits at this point in my life. I can invest myself with a higher salary. I don't want to limit myself and my earning potential because they'd rather give me stock that might not be worth much in the future.
Stock options-no, RSUs- yes. That is how all high paying jobs in tech works. It’s not “in lieu of”. It’s part of your comp if it is RSU. So not sure what trade off you are speaking of. You can cash in those stocks as they vest or you keep them or something in the middle.
If you think the stock will not go up, you should probably not join that company
I have been - it should be in addition to your other salary and not in lieu of. In my mind, it's part of a gamble on the company - if you think it will go up in the future, it could be more worth it
It very much depends on the company, and how much stock is being offered. If it's a startup, for instance, and its future could be in doubt, the stock would wind up being worthless. If it's one of the Mag 7s, that's a different story. There are also complications about when the stock vests, so that's something to consider.
