"Remember in the 90s when art/copy teams related to each other like buddy cops, and dare I say, friends who looked out for each other?"
I really miss that
It also made the work better in my opinion,
Just chuckle and say ‘good luck buying a house’

Language suggestions for creating some sense of equilibrium? Direct conversation is not received favorably. Omg, so easily wounded by simple, direct statements. I find myself just working alone, trying not to involve them, but that’s a lame work day. Especially if I end up having to rewrite everything bc they need to add their opinion later. Remember in the 90s when art/copy teams related to each other like buddy cops, and dare I say, friends who looked out for each other? Not sure if it was just a different generation or if it’s that I mostly worked w partners who came up in ad/portfolio school.
Glad to know it’s not just me experiencing something like this. But my boss hates the AD in question and thinks the person has a bad attitude and work habits. So that gives me a little protection.
Be careful. I got screwed once when my partner crashed and burned. And this was after my supervisor assured me my partner’s behavior didn't reflect badly on my overall performance.
I briefly had a partner quite a bit younger than I am and they were terrific. Talented, energetic and enthusiastic. Great work ethic. I felt privileged to work with them.
Just feel lucky that your art partner is not using AI behind your back to write copy without you.
Doesn’t everyone do this anyway?
I had a partner 15 years younger than me and they were hungry to do good work, which made me hungry again. I found it very beneficial to reignite my 'give f**k' fire. Enthusiasm is contagious.
I wish I had a copy partner.
Don't ever come to CoLab.
