Yep. Walked right past my going-away party in the lounge, straight to the elevator. Waved and politely said thanks for everything. Then “poof.” Gone.
😮
When one of my good friends quit, our asshole boss asked what the celebration plans were for her last day. Without missing a beat she turned to him and said, “Oh, you’re not invited.” It was amazing.
That sounds like the perfect exit IMO
Coworker: Hey are you gonna do drinks or anything before you leave?
Me: Nah
Well why would they take you out to begin with
Because they want to cover their tracks.
I had a boss once say to me on my last day, while I was wildly hungover, “I’m going to need to your help on this urgent project.” He talked about it and I stared blankly. After he was done, I more or less said I didn’t have a clue what he was talking about and wasn’t doing it. It felt great.
Places that do that make no sense to me. Once you’ve given your notice, you’re not invested and you’re probably not going to try anymore. Such an odd business decision/lack of common sense thinking.
Can’t wait to do that next Friday when I leave my current place 😂 Honestly would rather eat and drink with a complete stranger then deal with one more “team” outting 😂
Yeah I just tell people to find me on LinkedIn instead
Sure did. Zero regrets.
Yep. Felt great.
Yup. Every time.
I just leave midday for lunch and never come back 😔
I avoided the pointless HR exit interview for the entire week with the lamest excuses. It was fun seeing the frustration on their faces
I never skip the HR interview, because there are things they need to know. HR can be just as frustrated with crappy managers, as the employees working under them.
