hey folks, I am going to join Oracle ossi in Hyderabad location. I have never been to Hyderabad, and will be relocating. Please guide on what would be good areas to look for rent. Also, what would be rent like for 2/3 bhk. Ideally my budget for rent would be <25k. Initially I will be going but in future my family will join me once I am settled. Any points to note or any other gotcha to keep in mind ? Please suggest.

It was a transition for me. Not entirely difficult, but there are a lot of differences. You are looking at things from a higher level than before, and have to keep an eye on a lot of moving parts. It took me a while before I felt like I had a handle on everything. Think that’s true for any new position, though.
The transition itself wasn’t that big as I had always gone the informal leader route.
After a couple years the one thing I learned is I am not a fan of people management. I love supporting and leading. Hate dealing with office issues and drama. In the last several years I’ve managed to go back to an IC while progressing my career.
I was incredibly nervous about the transition, but it turns out I had no need to be. I found being a manager came more naturally than being a contributor. I appreciate the bigger variety in my day. Within a few weeks I was completely settled into the job.
