Have you noticed how remote work flexibility often changes based on seniority levels? While exploring different opportunities, I started seeing senior staff offered full remote roles, mid level employees placed in hybrid setups, and junior roles expected onsite. From my experience, it sometimes feels like flexibility is treated more as a reward for experience than something based on the work itself. Should remote work opportunities really depend more on seniority than job responsibilities?

Yes, and honestly no! If anything I think senior roles should be in person and junior not. Maybe during the training phase it’s in person.

I suggest that too, because of their capacity

It's not a reward, it's a privilege to those who have demonstrated consistent results over time and have shown tha they get the job done in all scenarios.

Exactly, because they can still get the job done perfectly from anywhere

At Wells our tech management can’t be remote. For certain technical roles, especially difficult to hire roles requiring substantial specialized experience/knowledge, remote is being approved as an exception. Mostly, at least in cyber, we’re all in-office 3-4 days per week

I do agree with you on this, but I believe it's possible for some to work remotely.

What’re the various agencies/components’ return to office dates (if announced)? And what’re the remote work policies after that date? I hear DOJ said their individual components will decide when exactly to return between mid-March and early May and some are offering a lot of remote flexibility even after then. Curious to hear more details though, both for specific DOJ components and other agencies!

Hi, I'm an employee at a hotel chain who works remotely. I've been working remotely for over a year now and I love it! The company I work for is very supportive of remote workers, which is great.

But there's one thing that's been bothering me: it's hard to get feedback on my work when I'm not in the office. It would be great if there was some kind of system that let me know how my performance was being evaluated while I'm working on projects from home.
