Yeah "fairly high rated" will probably get you 1-2k more than "has a pulse" most of the time
Same as that average fuck in IA
COL is actually pretty high if you're renting your own place or with roommates. I feel you typically find more people living with their families in Miami "saving" money to buy a place. I'm also from the Miami office in audit and I have been pretty depressed seeing what other markets are getting paid. The only thing going for us is no state income tax but other than that we are stretched thin and making less.
I'm not sure how Deloitte does it, but the problem with Miami wages from a PwC standpoint is that they don't just view Miami as an individual market. They lump Miami in with all of Florida (Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville) which are all much cheaper COL wise and therefore bring down the wages for Miami staff. It sucks.
60
60 as a senior 1 in Miami? That sucks. I'm an A3 (so same years) making more than that
Deloitte pays all of their fl people the same I believe ... And from what I know of a highly rated 2nd year senior in a diff fl office , low 60s high 50s is where it's at :/
Our first year seniors make 69-70k. Want to come over to PwC? Haha
@pwc1 pwc also promotes to senior after three years not 2 like the rest of the big 4. So a senior 1 at Deloitte should have a comparable salary to a third year associate at pwc ... But I agree 60k is low. I was in the high 60s as a senior 1 in The northeast. Wouldn't expect cost of living between Boston and Miami to be more than 2-3k but who knows
Is Miami that inexpensive as far as COL? Incoming Staff 1s in so cal are making 60k
It seems like Florida has depressed accounting wages across the board?
No state income tax makes 60k equivalent to about 65/66k in other states. That's fair pay for a first year senior In a medium COL market (i.e. Not NYC/SF/etc)
60k is 2nd year pay in LA. Heard second years might get bumped to 63k in Sept.
I even saw a Senior 1 being paid $57.5 here in the south Florida market. Granted he was probably a 3 rated and I have see others hit the $60k mark as high performers
60k is pretty bad. I am also going for first year senior with higher than average ratings and we expect to be at high 60s in September.
What market DT4?
Expect to work more and feel like you're making less
It sounds like DT does the same as what PwC1 described. So lame
