I’m confused by all these posts about Product Owners. I’ve worked at 3 Bay Area-based tech companies over 6 years and never heard of a Product Owner. As a product manager, i work with my engineering and design partners to figure out what to build and then build it. What role would a product owner play in all this? My honest assumption is that this role was invented by companies that want to pretend to be doing agile but aren’t really, but I’m open to being proven wrong.

I had interviewed with PwC India for Business Analyst role at Pune location, my both Manager round and Client round went well. However I have still not received any call/ offer from HR. I did call the HR she told me that they have not heard back from the Client.
Any idea how much time does the HR can take if they want to give offer.
My last working day is on this Friday and will have to join other company on Monday if dnt received offer from PwC. Please guide me.

Does anyone work or run a satellite office? I’m in a role where our satellite office has no designated leadership that sits regularly with HQ decisions makers. It’s me and an ECD expected to run the day to day with no visibility into the network. We routinely get agency decisions rolling down to us without guidance on how to implement. I’ve never worked in a satellite office before, what are typical leadership structures and processes for a satellite to be successful?

My old employer asked me if I wanted to come back to the company as a manager. The pay will likely be much better and the position holds more responsibility than I’ve had before, so overall it would be a step up. The issue is I left the company because of an abusive manager who constantly put me down and made me feel like I wasn’t doing anything right. If I come back I’d be working under her again. Looking for advice! I was approved to work remotely but my salary will decrease 10%. I received two raises so the decrease brings me down to my previous salary. I was told that it’s due to the cost of labor in the area.
