I’m a 2018 graduate!! I enjoyed it and I work for a Big 4 and work all over the world!!!!
I had people from all backgrounds in my classes.
This is great! How long did it take to complete the program? And if you don't mind me asking, why did you select this MBA program?
It's about perspective. An MBA from a reputable school looks better than no MBA at all. And you are considering a 14K MBA versus an 80K MBA. That "more prestigious" MBA does not automatically equal more money or even a better position than the other. I think it is worth it if it betters your skills, career opportunities, and ultimately pay. Go for it. Companies are loosening their educational requirements, so you'll be happier in the long run if you find that the degree is less valuable in the longer run.
Thank you for your help! I've decided to go for it, and my employer will actually cover most if not all of tuition.
Great question. I also, was looking into this program. It sounds like a great opportunity to further your education.
I agree! I'm definitely thinking about going for it, but wanted to collect more insight first.
How many YOE do you have? Do you work at a prestigious firm? What are your career goals? Do you live geographically close to Louisiana at all?
I have approx 7 years of experience and work at a well-known firm. I don't live in Louisiana. I am mainly interested in taking advantage of financial assistance from my employer for this degree.
It is important to get a degree from a recognized institution. Unless you want to work directly in Louisiana, I would consider another another institution
Thank you for this response.
Check out the alumni network. Is it active? Is it big? Your next opportunity will come from your alumni network. I earned an MBA, but I wish it only cost $14k. As long as the program is accredited, you will learn a lot.
