My name is Marilyn. I have an AA degree in accounting. I have no hand-on experience in the accounting field. I’m currently seeking an accounting receivable job, to get my foot in the door. I have been looking for entry level jobs on indeed, but these jobs still require having years of experience. Can anyone in the accounting field recommend where I can start off getting some hands-on experience?

What are your thoughts about wearing only a casual graphic tee for an interview at a non-tech company? I interviewed a candidate and he dressed casual (at least from the top and up) when all other candidates were business professional. The position will be full time in office eventually. I’ve been at my company for 10+ years. I’m not happy with the culture but have flexibility I enjoy, seniority for the time I’ve been here, and pays well. An new job opportunity came up as a Tax Manager but in a different industry which could expand my skillset in different ways, but is not as flexible and the pay is 20k lower. If I stay, I will be Director in few years. What will look better on a resume in the future, continued growth in 1 company or experience in more than 1 company?
