Op - I would be very surprised if you get it . we offer this much to SM. 140k for an M1 , nope ! I still don’t agree with consultant 1 in the salary .
Salaries in Toronto are extremely conservative .
I have 7 years of experience working in a bank and 8 years of experience in consulting .
So I have seen both sides .
Op - cost of living is now similar unfortunately .
At 110k, ur take home will be around 6k.
2.5-3k for rental ( 2 br condo )
1-1.5k on groceries .
If you opt for car , insurance can be around 300/ month plus payments and maintenance .
Lon story short , it’s very much pay check to pay check if you are the only one working ( assuming for a family of 2 )
I think 120,000 - 140,000 CAD is realistic. Just moved to EY in Toronto as a M1.
I’ve been reading the salary numbers for EY US, and they don’t translate to what we make here in CAN
That’s really shitty bonus.
95k ish CAD
Doesn’t seem comparable after all 🤔 is that normal?
With 6 years of experience? You should be able to get at least 150k in industry and I wouldn’t take less than 175-200k in consulting...
Yeah salaries in Toronto dont compare at all. Its a huge decision if you decide to take the plunge
Guys - OP is asking for toronto salaries . Which bank offers 150 with 6 years experience in Toronto ?
EY3: All of them.
I am consulting guys not in banking
C1 : name one pls ? Be specific in your replies ( position , bank , years or experience ) and provide source . This forum is to help people so pls stay away from giving numbers which are no where close to Toronto market .
In Toronto someone with 6 years will barely touch 6 figures in Industry.
Industry salaries will be 75-90k for someone with 6 years experience !
EY3 is spot on for salary range and expenses. It’s important to give right perspective to others.
EY3 thanks for the approximations. Will keep in mind when negotiating
Yeah, not happening. Not at EY anyways.
Well if the current is close to 150k USD then it’s bizarre to move down to 100k CAD
EY2 thanks. Altho that range is pretty big but good to know. Did you move from EY? Does it matter if you have 6+yrs of experience?
I moved to EY, joined end of July. You should be able to leverage the EY experience, but unfortunately I’m not the right person to comment on that given that I came over from another firm
Well at the very least it should be within that range :)
120k-140k seems right for Toronto in general, how are bonus payments at EY in Toronto for M/SM?
