Hello fishes, I am a data scientist with 6.1 YOE, 5 in data science/engineering space. My current salary is 11LPA. Now if I switch what's the minimum that I can expect. I had switched multiple companies due to various reasons. But now my parents are looking for a match, now am dilemma that do I need to switch company for high salary sake for marriage purpose OR do I need to wait for 1more yr it becomes 3yrs in current company & so it increases stability for my profile.

I am being tapped to translate documents at work. I’ve done spot translation audits, and 1 larger Quality assurance document earlier this year, but was recently contacted about a potential large-scale translation initiative for next year.

Has anyone been compensated for these sorts of projects that would be “out of scope” for their role? How do you go about asking for compensation? Have any of you spun out and created translation service side-gigs?
