I am a QA engineer with 7.5 yoe in manual testing and have worked in agile. Is it possible to move to a scrum master role from QA? I have good communication skills and an analytical mind.

How should I make the transition to scrum master role?

Got laid off in tech corp dev making 250-300 all in. Have an offer to join a fairly new family office investment team in PE buyouts but will be a fairly significant cash pay cut vs what I was making in tech corp dev. I’ve always been interested in doing investing. All things being equal, is there better upside to take the fam office to do PE (at a pay cut for now), or go do another corp dev job? 6-7 YOE

I am really biased toward people with clinical/in hospital experience because, quite frankly, healthcare is a different beast - lots of hand holding and change management. Why did you pursue a career in public sector consulting instead of private sector?

I just offered an intern a full time position as an account coordinator with a starting salary of $50k. They have only been an intern for 2 months and have no prior experience. They acted like $50k was a huge slap in the face. Am I crazy for thinking $50k is reasonable for entry level in Toronto? I am not authorized to negotiate so they will have to take it up with HR, but I am still just shocked at the reaction. Please tell me if I’m totally out of touch!
