My friend referred me in his organization for SAP BASIS role and i got shortlisted and scheduled interview also. So, will it fine if i attend the interview and tell them i am seeking job in SAP Security?
Please share your inputs since it is my first interview and first try for switch after working in an org with 2.5yeo.

Friend of mine was supposed to receive an offer (told verbally) from Deloitte and then just found out they are pausing on hiring the role. How common is that? Seems wildly unprofessional that none of the partners called and instead it was the recruiter conveying that news. At McKinsey, if that happened, the head of the practice or the office would personally make the phone call at the very least.

So I say this with complete humility and an understanding that this is a fortunate-ish situation to be in. I’m in a position where I am tied to nothing, I have no children, spouse, or house. My job, which I’ve loved until some recent significant leadership changes, is sucking the life out of me and I think it may be time for a change.
