There’s a plethora of resources out there, learn about the job market and network with others to get you started. Might not be easy but it’s not impossible either

like

Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, Udemy and plenty of other resources. Best thing to do is just START. Take notes, watch YouTube, spend a little money on some learning resources.

Persistency and discipline matter! Continuously educate yourself and learn from others as well. Remember, knowledge is power.

Try looking into some certifications, I know that AWS is a good one. But also focus in on your accounting and get the CPA. With a CPA and some IT credentials you could probably get into tech project management, which sounds like something you’d enjoy.

It's my first month in a new job as Product Owner. I went from a company that digital product development was their secondary focus along with consultancy services, to a company that their only focus is the product. The difference in scale as well as the different domain, certainly feeds into my imposter syndrome. What are the things I should focus to achieve within my first few months at the new job?

Since joining KPMG 5 years ago, I find that my appetite to read for my own growth is almost flatlined. Has anybody else experienced that? I attribute it to how much mental energy our work demands and how much reading I do during a business day.

Moving on from Hotels (Hospitality)?

I’ve been thinking about this for awhile now, but it is very to commit to actually accept a new job offer since I really do love my job. My only complaint is, the pay vs workload is very small. I’m a manager now and my property offered me a director position… but the salary is still low! To make six figures, it’ll take another 5-6 years to grind it out.

Should I move on and go to a different industry? Opinions are welcome! Thanks in advance.

People who don’t submit their time daily, how do you remember what you did and for how long? I’ve always just submitted each timer as soon as I finish a task—“call with x re y” really doesn’t take that long even if I’m busy, and if I don’t do it immediately I’ll forget all those little I did in the morning by the time I go to bed. No shade at all to those with different systems, just genuinely curious because I see a lot about catching up at month end on here and I have no idea how that works??

HI 👋 everyone, I could use your help! I’m trying to get a better sense of the size of the addressable market for one software language versus another, and one approach I was thinking of was total aggregate number of job listings for developers with each skill.

Does anyone here know what tools/sites might be able to best approximate that, or another approach to get the same information? Thank you so much for any help you can provide!
