Hello, I am a 10 year experienced professional. I have got calls from multiple agencies regarding an opening at Barclays. They initially gave an online assessment and post clearing that they have asked to visit office for F2F interview on a Saturday. There again they would be having technical assessment and post that interview. Despite of giving the test via Barclays workday portal, this whole thing appears fishy to me. Just 2 months back I gave virtual interview for Barclays.Is this STD process

I have been interviewing with OW for about 5 months. Started interviews in late December, finished in March and now waiting on an offer. They said they were going to extend but it’s been weeks where they are “finishing up there offer”. Any insights into what’s going on? How accurate is this? During what we are expecting an economic slow down or financial crises companies get rid of newer employees rather than older established ones. I start a new AE role in 6 weeks and a friend told me not to change as I am well positioned in my current role and will likely survive any cuts if sh** hit the fan in a financial crises. So I was offered a role in Strategy Consulting in after 2 years in Risk Consulting however, after 2 years I’ve only worked on Internal audit engagements few ad hocs such as updating risk register and the delegation of authority matrix.

Honestly speaking I am doing good and I am up for promotion in October however I am not fully enjoying my time but I fear that the move would not be a good and I can’t hit the ground running which scares me.

My close friend works for the mayor of my mask mandate city. We are both libs. I think the mandate was once good, is silly now. She just blew up at me when I asked for data to support their position. Have new analyst on the team with an MBA and project experience. After working with them for 2 months it’s apparent that there are 0 consulting skills (excel, outlook, PowerPoint) and they freeze up even on internal calls. They are young and coachable, and I offered to put time into that. However at a company event they made no effort to get to know the team and chose to stick to their familiar colleagues in their home office.
