Bain & Company What is the likelihood of making SAC in September 2022 if I join as an AC on April 18th at Bain & Company? I am a senior consultant at EY with 3.5 years of experience in Data Analytics. Or is March 2023 more realistic? They told me 6 months for promotion but it seems like the two promotion cycles with my different start dates give me 4 or 9 months of experience, nothing in between. I’ll be joining in the private equity group which will be new for me.

Amex people thoughts on this offer, as I have recently(4 months back) joined a startup with Base(33) and CTC(35.5) but not enjoying the work here. Amex brand tag and culture is good.
Hence, considering the offer, does this offer look good or is there any scope of improvement? Amex American Express

I got a verbal offer from ACN two weeks ago, and the recruiter told me I could expect a written offer in a few days. I haven’t receive it by now…followed up with the recruiter today, and she told me hopefully I will get it over the weekend or by Monday. Is this normal? Should I be worried? The recruiter told me they really wanted me and the team has a lot of projects lining up and I really like the team..Accenture

Stick with the post bar date! Bar prep takes a lot out of you and the pass rates for people working full time during isn’t that good. If you need money I would suggest the bar prep loan or working max 2 days, or going to savings/ family support. Good luck!
The main risk is going to be to your bar prep. It's about priorities. Starting hourly shouldn't cause any other issues that I can think of.
Stick with the post bar start date. Studying for the bar takes a lot out of you, as does starting a job at a firm, even if you had interned there. You risk stretching yourself too thin to make a great first impression at the firm and also do your best on the bar.
Fwiw, I saw partners force associates to work weekends (not just weekdays) just before the bar. And, yes, the firm had told them they would slow way down to allow them ample time to prepare for the bar. In many firms, recruiting/HR has little control over rainmakers, so you may find out that the hourly arrangement is more demanding than how it was initially presented.
I have the same concern and have found answers through this thread. Leaving my gratitude to the poster as well as the previous commenters. Thank you all!
Thank you everyone for the advice. Your points about the conflict between the effort required to study AND impress a new employer at the same time are compelling.
If I were you stick with the one after your bar. The bar will always be your top priority. Working simultaneously with hardcore bar prep will be detirimental to the quality of your review. Good luck!
