Hello. I’ve been in education for over 10 years now. The last 7 years I’ve worked in a charter school where I have seen tremendous professional growth. I have been promoted several times to where I am now the director of a new arts initiative for the entire school. It was my mindset, experience, and ability to drive results in both students achievement and school culture that got me here. I really want to help new teachers have a successful career. I’m an FA at ML, been in the role for 1 year and 8 months, but have 23 years of industry experience. Quarterly, I have a performance review call with my Market Executive and until today never heard anything negative… my growth is slower than I’d like and definitely I’m sure that’s why, but today he said last time “they” wanted to give me a letter of education and he talked “them” out of it. Why spend 4-6 hours interviewing me just to say there isn’t actually a current role for me? Should I be reading between the lines (if so what does it mean?) or pressing harder for more detailed feedback?
