I’m an Analyst, and I was looking at opportunities at Microsoft as a Business Program Manager. It says it wants you to have 5+ years of experience, but someone I went to college with got that position straight out of undergrad less than two years ago. How true are the requirements at Microsoft?

Hi,
I'm currently having an offer from BlueOptima and Cohesity and am conflicted between the two.
I have offers in the SDET profile.
Cohesity Inc is providing me MTS and @BlueOptima is providing SDET-1.
Glassdoor reviews more of less place the two companies almost equally, and the package being offered by the two is almost in the same range.
My preferences include:
Learning opportunities in the role.
Company's work environment.
Company's growth prospects, are also a consideration.

Learn French. If you have the skills for the job the only thing missing is speaking the local language. I’d double down and do an ungodly number of hours and practice in a short period. If you’re that committed that is.
Thanks for the insight. I’m in fact doing so, only thing honestly is that I’ve got in the past a far lower “acceptance rate” from Switzerland that from other countries despite not knowing the language as well.
But yeah, Learning the language now is my first objective
Well the market is more competitive and expert focused so not being fluent in French is putting you at a disadvantage against other candidates
Are you from EU? If you are a third county national, the permit is quite hard to get and employers are not going to sponsor a junior person.
I was thinking of following some online courses of Swiss universities and such, any other suggestions?
