There’s tons of options, depending on your career goals and what internships/experience you have before graduating. Design is a big one, working for a firm to design buildings and things like that. Hardware/firmware engineer is an option, if you’re more interested in programming (I know some classmates did fpga design). Or like myself system engineer, designing/testing requirements to develop functionality in a system or group of systems.
As for titles, I think really anything goes. If your goal is to climb the corporate ladder in your desired profession, seeking a promotion every 2-3 years is pretty universally good. As for certifications, it’s pretty field specific but becoming a PE is good after 4 years, or if you want to go into management getting your MBA is essential. Other highly specific graduate programs will be made clear to you as you progress in your field, so don’t worry too much about those.
Thank you very much for your valuable insight. Systems engineers seems to be what I would be looking for so I will work on that for now.
