Hello Sharks. I have a doubt regarding home loan exemption. Let's say I pay almost 7L interest per annum for my home loan and that home I have actually put on rent. So from what I saw we can claim 7L as deduction as their is no upper limit on interest paid if home is let out

So can I deduct this entire amount from my taxable income?? Please guide me for both old and new tax regime

For example my taxable income is 13lakhs
So can I do 13lakhs - 7lakhs which brings my taxable income to 5lakhs?

I have started working from jul2019 and I have filed my tax return for 2020 and 2021 tax years.


However I note that there was withholding of some amount in 2017-2018 and 2019 tax years ( withholding from comission received from insurance commission from lic and United india)

I have not filed 2017, 2018, 2019 return as my total income was less than threshold

Is it possible to file return for 2017 , 2018, 2019( all r in refund) now without paying any penalty?
