It’s ok to just say you don’t know enough about a subject, man.

I agree. I also think that the government should only spend money on things that I agree with and only levy taxes that I personally support (mostly on other people).
Pro
Basically politicians and our government are crack addicts at this point. Always wanting their next hit (more spending and our money).

OP: Ukraine is a geopolitical ally to the United States and/or to our national security interests (e.g., combatting Russia/China state aggression and/or building international cooperation/consensus); fighting a proxy war keeps Russian aggression in check without costing American lives. Meanwhile US defense contractors (and their employees) will have plenty of business to keep them busy and contribute to the growth of US GDP.
As for pandemic bailouts: I don’t think that anyone accurately predicted the length of the pandemic (still going) or the speed, severity, and/or duration of economic effects, unemployment, etc. Historians will probably reflect back on this period agree that it was the better approach to keep the economy afloat via bailouts/incentives versus letting it completely tank because a consultant might get bent out of shape.
Confused about taxpayer dime part. You know politicians pay taxes too, right? And that most of them pay a lot more than the average taxpayer?
You are mixing like 5 different things there, none of which makes your point
There are no special tax rates for congresspeople
The “loopholes” you mention are not loopholes; they are equivalent to standard deductions that any self employed or small business person can make, and tens of millions of Americans do. It was written into tax code so that congresspeople could essentially consider expenses related to their duties as equivalent to a business expense deduction, which is eminently reasonable
If you have an issue with a specific deduction, tell us which one and explain why it is not available to average citizens in similar employment circumstances
