Hello team, 29f, I am having 7.5 years experience and working in TCS as JAVA full stack developer and current salary is 8 lpa and I'm holding offer from IBM & HCL Technologies where HCL Technologies is providing 6L(4L on hand + 2L variable pay) more comparatively IBM for same location so suggest me which is good to join by considering all other aspects ?

If HCL is paying more go for HCL. Doesn't matter both are equally same

like

Thanks for the information

I would suggest take a counter offer over HCL 🤑
Ans search for good product based company..

It's still your personal choice though..

But what I could guess from your statement is you need Job Security and WBL more than other things..

So act Smartly..

Stay @ TCS if I’m reading this right.

Your current Salary is 8L and you are offered 6L. Why would you move for less?

If the fixed was 14, then move to HCL. They acquired Websphere Commerce a couple of years ago from IBM and might be looking to expand.

like

I mean Ibm provide me 22 where hcl provide me 28lpa

like

This is less compared to current market trends, you can easily get 18 to 20 la fixed.

like

Ibm offered me 22lpa where hcl offered me 28 lpa

All 3 are service based firms and if I understand correct you are getting 6L more in HCL and 6L is a good difference. I will suggest you to go with HCL.

like

Thanks for information

IBM is more WFH friendly as far i know.

like

What about infosys for job security ?

6 L is a good amount of difference to consider. And HCL is also a good company so I would have opted for HCL.

like

Go where u get paid highest.Check the salary structure and in hand amount.Nowadays service based companies are all same.Just varies from project to project.

like

Go for the money. All companies are more or less the same when it comes to politics. You can also use your current offer letters to farm another 20% hike at competing firms. And remember, jump later if another firm offers you a better pay. Never compromise on your personal market value, after all we all work to get paid.

like

How long hcl took to release your offer letter after HR round?

2 weeks

Some good news after almost 11 months of applying and interviews and lots of rejections finally got an offer! In NYC small firm, ex big law folks, no billable hours, niche practice area, appearance of forwarded thinking firm, remote till who knows when, emphasis on pro bono initiatives and building book of business. The catch salary. Was making around 140k at last firm with 1800 billable. Offer is 85k and revist to bump to around 100k in several months after review (plus discretionary bonus)

1. Does the lower designation offered make any difference?
2. Kinda ambiguous, but what kind of hike or ballpark pay can I expect?
3. Any similar interviews experiences or focus areas I should prepare for?

Does it make sense to jump from Strategy& to either LEK or ZS, if the ultimate goal is to end up in industry (Big Pharma)? Asked another way, does either LEK, or ZS boost exit opps into Big Pharma, more so than Strategy&, if already working on Life Sciences engagements while at Strategy&? Do folks hiring in industry even know the differences between these firms to justify hopping from one to the other for an industry exit?

Hello sharks,

Recently attended the TCS interview for the role of cloud architect and it went well.

HR asked me to upload all the documents and verified.
Then HR called me to discuss the salary and told me that she will inform the management.

Almost 3 working days after the call, haven't received any updates! Tried to call HR but not picking up the call. I assume it's because of these continuous holidays.

Is this usual!

Please let me know your thoughts and suggestions.

Majority of my department has been informed we will need to look for other positions internally due to our jobs being outsourced. The timeframe for the full transition of all work to the vendors is approximately 6 months. This is the second time in 14 months I have had to look for another position due to outsourcing of work. Since I can only work remotely for my company due to location, is it best to resign or to hold out in hopes for a transition to another department?
