Are you using conditioner on your roots?? If so, stop immediately. You need a good shampoo for your scalp and then a hydrating/ bond repair conditioner you only leave on the pony tail and down (nowhere near the scalp). Also, try a hair mask … again, not on the scalp. Amika, Olaplex, OUAI all have great masks. And use a *light* oil on your ends after you style your hair (love OUAI).
If you’re really committed, try apple cider vinegar on the scalp. This hair influencer explains and yes, it works. https://www.tiktok.com/@moniquemrapier/video/7067970902553611566
Lastly, and very importantly, when was the last time you cut your hair? If it was more than 3 months ago, time to go see your stylist. I cut my hair every 10-12 weeks and dry ends are never an issue. Even when I was coloring.

Use a volume shampoo on your roots, only condition the ends. Wash everyday or use dry shampoo.
