Finance has received quite a bit of flack for lack of gender diversity - but how can firms go about attracting and retaining more female talent?

Does BCW not allow conservatives to be employed at this company? I’m sitting through another meeting where we are highlighting amazing women and it is so politicized I am completely offended. AOC, Biden, Ilhan, Hilary... I mean at try to be inclusive when speaking of diversity. You can’t name a single female in the Conservative party throughout history?

I was hanging out with a friend and her boyfriend when he suddenly goes “Now that all companies practice gender equality what is the need for women specific conventions like Grace Hopper. What if there were male specific conventions/conferences like that? How would that make you feel? “ I was very drunk and not proud of how I responded. I basically told him off and recounted all the instances where I have been at a disadvantage because of my gender.

I keep getting slapped on the wrist in reviews for contributing to DEI efforts that my company has COMMITTED to…efforts that focus on BLACK colleagues. Anyone else run into this? I’m really about to dip out of this inclusion BS.

There is a huge number of questions and concerns about districts not worried for the health of the teachers, faculty, staff at their school. At what point do we get our unions involved? There hasn’t been a teacher strike in a long time. I would think this would be a legitimate reason. I’m an only child who cares for my elderly parents. Teacher salary, can’t afford to pay someone to do it during this time.
