The severance package at Meta for laid off employees almost makes it nice to be laid off depending on what your personal situation is….. personally wouldn’t mind getting 4+ months of full pay to reset and think about what’s next 😬

One issue with the work from home revolution will be the offshoring of jobs. I got laid off and my replacement will be from Mexico City. One time zone away and probably half my salary. It is what it is.

Throwing this out there. My company was recently acquired and I was laid off yesterday. Life / Career Advice: I applied to medical school since my MCAT score was set to expire, ended up getting into 1 program. I also have an opp to join a well funded/well established Healthtech Startup (6 figure salary w/ equity + benefits) as a BD professional.
