Any favorite research shops with quick turnaround for new biz?

How do I learn to accept my role in the company and "slow down" career wise. I am used to quick promos and my new company is hiring someone with equal product exp to a more senior role than me, likely due to his 3 more yrs of overall experience.

I am having my first child in the next few months and I think it would be good for me to learn some patience in my career growth and just enjoy my current role. I personally think going on leave will hurt my near term growth but should I even care? TIA

I have a colleague who is a staff II and I want to help him. He has been working in accounting since 2016 - ~ 2 years at industry and 4+ years at PA. Never been promoted and only time he got to staff II was when he switched firms. He is now 32 and one of the oldest staff II with nowhere near to getting promoted. He thinks he’s not getting enough training but not sure how to tell him that he needs a career change

My logic is if I spend so much of my typical work week sitting on a chair, why not go the extra mile and make it something comfortable and good for posture. Also, the cheaper chairs seem always to wear down faster than anticipated.

Looking for a treadmill for a standing desk. But also want one that I can run on. I would like walking distances to go up to 4-4.5 and running up to 8-9 mph. Would be great to have one of those that the rail and be moved and the treadmill placed under the desk for walking. Incline would be great. Any suggestions or is it technically not feasible to have all of this in one machine?

Am I tripping? Everyone loves calling my daughter (2 months) "lil chocolate drop" or "look at all that chocolate". I love my daughter's complexion, not only because it's mine, but because it's beautiful. However, I can't help but feeling like ppl "other" or make it weird by avoiding saying dark. Hi Parents, need recommendation for taking care of kids hair. My kids are mixed race and their hair gets easily tangled to the point where we spend an hour to untangle the mess. Hair is also dry and the conditioner and or oil doesn’t seem to help. What are some of your go to products and routine? TIA

Doctor says I have it, but I honestly don’t believe them. I don’t eat cane sugar (not even in sauces), gluten, dairy, or soy. So not surprised I couldn’t process their drink-I don’t consume stuff like that regularly. I walk a mile or do HIIT training 5x/ week. The condition doesn’t run in my family (and my mom has 4 sisters w/kids-good sample size) (cont’d in comments)

My 5 year old son demanded a haircut because he doesnt like his curly hair. Its too curly. He wants hair thats like Fletcher's. (Fletcher is his white friend from day care). My son and his sister are the only blacks at the day care. I dont know how to broach the subject with him.
