Pregnant with my 1st, and a very career oriented gal, but will have no family nearby ever. With Biden's new tax policies my salary is what puts us over the $400k line, as Hubby's is the better job with better benefits and stuff. 6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I recently interviewed with Natwest and I got confirmation that they wanted to offer a role. Salary negotiations were started. However, now I got an email from the hiring manager that hiring for my role has been paused due to the ongoing cost of living crisis. He expects to resume the hiring for the role in Q1 '23 and would resume the process then. So is it the end? Honestly, I don't expect him to come back. But what do you think?

I’m 17 weeks pregnant with our first. My husband is really struggling with emotional/ mental health. I’ve asked him to consider counseling or other medical alternatives. Instead, he wants to talk to me until 11:30 pm or 12 am at night. I want to be there for him but I can’t. I’m tired. I’m still working VERY full time, and I was just diagnosed with early onset preeclampsia 😫

How are you all managing COVID anxiety for the little ones?

My wife and I are fully vaxxed now and we know kids seem to not be impacted much by it, but it still feels irresponsible to go back to “normal” if it means putting them at risk.

Doctor says I have it, but I honestly don’t believe them. I don’t eat cane sugar (not even in sauces), gluten, dairy, or soy. So not surprised I couldn’t process their drink-I don’t consume stuff like that regularly. I walk a mile or do HIIT training 5x/ week. Context: first baby, high risk pregnancy (blood pressure), in northern Dallas suburbs but delivering in Dallas proper; strongly prefer a doctor of the diaspora (my OB is black; we want our son to see black excellence all around), but those in the suburbs tend not to have rights in hospitals in Dallas proper
