Hey all - I work for a company with a software solution for pharmaceutical companies to help track data, and am interested in getting into an actual Pharma company at this point since I’ve always loved the sciences. However I am finding absolutely no remote Pharma jobs - everything is hybrid, from Takeda to Pfizer to any other small company you can find. What gives, is this just how it is now? Should I accept a remote role is out of the question?

I've seen with Pfizer it depends on the role on if you need to be in the office. If it's hybrid it is 2 to 3 days a week. They are really good about the flexibility.

like

I know Sanofi is flexible so if you aren't related to manufacturing you're not required to go. Some people go 1 day a week at the least and others related to mfg functions are 5 days mandatory

Roche and Genentech are a no go - they're tracking us and HR informs your manager if you dont go 3x a week or "the majority of the time". I know some people got lucky with their remote positions for genentech south city they still hold but i dont think theyre giving those out anymore

I know there's some other companies that might not be the big names that are still remote.

like

They packaged them out pretty good.. that might be why you see messages that are "positive" but doesn't mean its ok with how they went about letting everyone go. Vacaville is next on the chopping block.

They think they handled ssf well and are trying to "do a good job with vv". Ssf is being positioned as clinical + little commercial mfg so there will still be a few clinical based jobs coming there. Vacaville is intended to be fully not genentech.

like

My follow up question would also be what hybrid means for these companies. I know Takeda sounds like a regular 3 days a week in the office deal, but is that the case everywhere? Could I possibly negotiate down to 1 day in office a week?

At Abbvie if you are strict science (discovery, ops, mfr) you are in every day, even if you work in something like comp or other data science. If you work the more traditional office job it’s hybrid 2-3 days a week in office.

Nightmare scenario and need your help. I moved into a new place in august knowing I was going to be WFH. Quiet, lots of light.

They just started construction right next to my building with all day noise, including a bull dozer and heavy machinery coming within 6 feet of my window. We’re also on the second floor so I mean RIGHT NEXT TO MY WINDOW.

I also have a bunch of men starting at me all day on too of the noise triggering my migraines. What can I do?

Since iOS 14 changes, Facebook ads isn't the same anymore. Why?

A. >75% iOS users denied tracking. They are no longer tracked across websites/apps. Facebook lost its edge.
B. Targeting and conversion tracking aren't as effective anymore.
C. Many advertisers have been migrating their budgets from Facebook to Apple and Amazon ads.

What's your experience? Let's all learn.

My father took a home loan, and the same home is kept as mortgage.
I'm paying arround 22k emi for the same but unable to exempt tax as the loan is on my father's name.

I googled a lot how to transfer it but neither gift deed nor sale deed would work as the property is on mortgage that's under bank's ownership (until loan is fulfilled).
Tax is also getting deducted, I'm paying hefty emis.
What can I do?
Please advise 🙂
