I'm keen to gather opinions here. I'm fairly new to Consulting - 2nd career!
I've really struggled to find my feet as I think the world of consulting isn't set up for poc (and women) (unless you're in a tech role and able to avoid the b*llsh!t) ...
I could be totally wrong, and this could be a function of the company I work for.
Please share your thoughts and experience here.

I've spent a good amount of time working strategy, product development and change management/PMO projects . Data Scientist by training with a small amount of DD and financial modeling experience - so hopefully have the analytics chops to learn new skills as needed.

Working through getting some concrete M&A/ Valuations experience to make me a better candidate for a PE/VC firm. One question.

Will a shop take you and teach you on the go - or should I build that resume more?

Hello! How can a T2 consultant with 3 years of consulting experience break into PE without an MBA? I have worked on 10+ due diligence cases as a consultant.

Hi All, I’m thinking about getting certified in change management but not sure if I should go the Prosci route or CCMP route. CCMP is a lot cheaper compared to Prosci but would it measure up just the same?

Currently, I'm working as a PLSQL developer.
But I want to change my skillset. I don't want to continue as a database developer.

Any suggestions, which technology should I start learning, which has high demand in market.

Do we have any generic certification policy at HCL for upskilling.

Not talking about project specific or where RM needs to approve, as this tech (cloud) is something I want to learn, not part of my day to day work.

I am in my second year as a attorney, I was a FL paralegal before law school and would eventually like to end up there again. I am in a very small rural area, pretty much only solos, and no FL solos appear to be hiring/expanding at this time.

Do you think experience as a DA or PD would be valuable, with my eye toward a future in FL? Both for the skills gained, and/or as a resume piece?

Interesting all the noise about these PPT, my take:

The pandemic took all the upside of an IB analyst life (client meetings in person, fancy trips, suit up, worshiped at networking events) and left all the juniors with the downside (long hours, monkey-like type of job, aggressive work environment).

Not that the complaints are not sort of legitimate but you may need to revise the decision-making process that led you to accept a return offer. Specially if you were looking for less hours.

I’m a fairly new manager and there is a high expectation to contribute ideas on how to improve our ways of working, flag up bottlenecks, contribute to strategy etc. We usually have meetings where we discuss these things as a team ( manager and above), but I hardly ever have anything to say. Is there anything I can do to come up with ideas and make more impact in these meetings? Could there be something I’m not paying attention to? Any advice will be appreciated.
