Hey everyone!
I got my very first interview! I didn't attend yet, however I am really asking for some tips. The role I chose was front of house at Chick Fill A! If anyone has any tips and might add on some common questions into could practice a mock interview on I would really appreciate it! Thanks In Advance!!

Congratulations on the interview! They will most likely ask about how you'll handle things like rude customers or work with a team. Practice answers to those that highlight your patience, customer service, and quick thinking. And research a bit about the company as well that way if they ask you why you want to work there you'll have a thoughtful answer.

Woohoo! Congrats on landing the interview! I worked at Chickfila for a short period of time in high school and enjoyed the team a lot. I went into it with a positive, upbeat personality and expressed genuine joy simply to serve. I also love what Chickfila stands for and their appreciation for employees, and I let them know I'd be proud to work for a company like theirs (not in a cheesy way... just genuine).

Paralegals: My firm is looking for a paralegal, and I see the job posting advertising the salary as $65-$75k, with benefits. Is this a good salary for a paralegal (Greater LA area)? So I used to work for a company where my job was good, was a director of business solutions for a fashion brand. Only issue was that the CFO micromanaged and ended up leaving. My background is digital transformation however I took an infrastructure position to rebuild a provincial healthcare system. I always lacked the hardware side and thought this was a good move but I feel like I’m losing my digital skills and don’t enjoy the work. I’m in it for 7 months now.

Just got offered to join potential project that would relocate me to LA for 3-4 months for onsite work. Their office is downtown, I’m single, 29 have the flexibility in lifestyle for this kind of move. Is it worth coming to LA rn? There are obvious Covid risks, but anything else I should consider when looking at this move? Thank you

Check the overtime laws for your state!!

I just recently worked 58.6 hours in a week, weekly pay, nice OT profit right? Depends on where you live.

In Iowa, there is no Overtime pay mandate, the overtime pay is at the discretion of the business. I received 58.6 hours of base pay for the week.

If the company makes less than $1 million per year or does not engage in intercontinental sales, the company is not required to pay the overtime rate of time and a half, just your base rate.

So I work as an assistant manager at a restaurant for the past 9 months. I've worked in restaurants for the past 6 years science I was 16. Now I'm 22. I went to a trade school for media and film. I got a dream opportunity to work in the field making about the same or 10% more. I told myself the only reason I'd leave this company is for this type of job. Should I take the chance at this job and leave the restaurant that is on the rise and growing?
