I get it but also think longer term and bigger picture. Don’t make the move just for title rather move for compensation, culture, type of work, etc.
Why do you want the senior title so bad? Is it to accelerate timeline to manager? Open up exit ops?
I disagree with this take. Title matters because I’m any aspect of life prescription matters. I used to work at PwC and I had friend explicitly questioned why they weren’t promoted after their second years when applying to senior roles in industry. If all your competitors for a job in 2 years an you were promoted in 3, it could make someone perceive you as less valuable.
Lmao
You should be fine but honestly not sure why senior means that much to you..
Same boat. 2 years at a small firm, come back to the old firm for 7 months. Not sure if get promoted next year. Should i stick to staff?
I would put your odds at 80% of success. If it means that much to you go for it. I would refer you rn if you really want.
At EY you make senior after year 2 (if you to standards) so not really much of a stretch. Let me know if you want a referral.
If you’d like to interview at kpmg as well, DM me! We generally make snr after 2 hrs typically as well.
I did the transfer from pwc audit to EY audit with 2 years of experience and have been performing well. It was initially a bit challenging just getting used to the different software and EY methodology, but within 2-3 months I was completely comfortable. Happy to refer you if you’re interested in making the move! Feel free to DM me if you have any other questions.
Get promoted at PwC then jump to EY for a 30% raise on top of your initial senior promo increase.
Might take a few rounds of negotiation to get the 30% but it’s doable.
Do it and get paid
This is literally the only reason.
DM for a referral
Frankly, your raise in pay by moving firms at this level is not going to be meaningful. I’d suggest moving towards the end of your 4th year. That way you’ll get the manager position in any of the big 4 with a sizeable pay bump.
4 years at PwC you're just 1 year into senior though
DM FOR REFERRAL! I got you
