I'm currently navigating a mid-life career transition from a System Engineer role with 2.6 years of experience to a Product Manager position. I recently took the KYS test and scored 67/100. I graduated with a BE in Computer Engineering in 2021. I value your insights and would appreciate any guidance you can offer on preparing for this transition.

I have an interview with McKinsey - Senior Associate, the role pays 50k more than my current role. (3YOE)
I have no consulting experience nor do I have an MBA. Somehow I’ve passed the first 3 stages and I am now onto the case study interviews.
Has anyone went from product management into consulting, is it worth it, Am I making a mistake? (London, UK)

How would you rank the AWS certs from most to least marketable?

I am currently working as Branch Manager (scale-2 officer) in one of the leading public sector banks and have 5 yr experience in core banking. I am having 2.5 years experience in the IT sector on vision plus as a software engineer (before joining the bank). I have knowledge of core banking as well as good knowledge of banking tools like finacle, caps, imac etc. I want to switch to private financial institutions.

But many a times companies only focus on DSA for interviews.

Currently an associate at a mid-sized firm with “strong potential” to make partner at the end of this year. Things have been toxic for a while, but have cratered in 2021, with few signs there will be any positive changes on the horizon. What are the pros and cons of staying to make partner before trying to go in-house?
