I’m in the same boat as you, and by the sounds of it the same age. Give this a read, I wrote it for some private product job seeking circles I belong to. I’ve not figured everything out, but I’ve figured some things out. Maybe this will give you some ideas on what to do next: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1haLATL2nNR5JSA0iDnBdZhpcxPd8oXx7yJDN3oixA8k/edit?usp=sharing
Great advice offered in this reply
Where are you located? Do you have a good recruiter to work with? Are you getting interviews? Ghosted?
What is a failed interview in your eyes (besides not being made an offer)? Its. Avery competitive market right now; you may be doing all the right things. Was out of work oct23-april24
Coach
Will hiring a career coach help?
he is unemployed and expected to shell out $$$ on a career coach? employers and HR teams are playing games with candidates. 1) they take you through to the final interview and say that they are happy, will send paperwork following week and then ghost you, when you keep bugging them for a response they come back to say they went with an internal candidate, seriously wtf, why would you waste my time and hope? 2) nepotism - if you know someone's daddy who is a director you can get the job 3) waiting for the lowest asking salary 4) some don't even read the resume and send stupid responses like rights to work, when I'm a freaking permanent resident. honestly if companies can treat people like shit, it's time for people also not to be too invested with them. fine it doesn't work out, move on to the next job application.
