I need USB referrals
Hello everyone!
Can anyone please explain the promotion process followed here and specially at LCCI? If there's any minimum criteria like X no of years in a particular level, etc. followed while checking eligibility of an employee?
And also - what's the hike/increment range usually at the time of promotion?
Eli Lilly and Company.
Any leads would be highly helpful.
Thank you!
Hi Fishes, Sometime back I was interviewed for Technical Support Job role in my domain. T1 went well. T2, in my understanding was better only (not great like T1 but not blunder. I felt it was nice and i replied majority of questions). They released the feedback after 10 days with "Not Positive". I am not totally sure with feedback as I replied majority of questions correct. I am being bit curious with "Microsoft" tag. What can be the reason?
Discussion appreciated.

On the one hand: Yes, completely out of touch.
On the other hand: A good mattress is soooo worth it.
Looking back, it might have been a good opportunity to bring the prospect of a raise 😉

Mattresses are so %&$@! expensive!
“Everyone here should visit Peru”

This was standard fare at company meetings until it was called out here and other places
For what it’s worth, I have had the opposite be true… junior person with more expensive bag/shoes/clothes than me bc #trustfund
“Oh you simply must get to Cannes some time!”
“Ok how about this year? For the work that I did? No? Just you going? Ok good talk…”
Another one:
I was on a shoot in another country where the weather was colder than expected and the location had no heat. After a few days I showed up on set in a new trench from Uniqlo (on sale for $70) and my GCD complimented me and asked if it was Burberry 🤭
(Disclaimer: I absolutely loved working for both these people. They couldn’t help they’re rich.)

She was complaining about how her husband wanted to take the kids to their lake house for the long weekend but she wanted to go to their cabin in lake placid. They lived in one of the most expensive neighborhoods during the week. Everyone else in the room was living in a rental 💀.
Lake House bosses are tough
Wait the worst is. "Money isn't important. Salary doesn't matter. The money will come eventually." Well damn if money doesn't matter how bout you give me some of yours. Just insulting bc money matters in the sense of living a good quality of life.

Never got a bonus either.
When I was an intern making $15/hour and my ACD complained about her six figure salary… to ME
“You HAVE to see Book of Mormon!”
“I do not HAVE several hundred dollars for broadway tix as a junior”
(A vendor did eventually take me though and it was pretty funny. Still don’t feel like I can afford live theater 15 years later either)
Rush tix/lottery tix are the way to go. Plenty of ways to see theater in nyc without breaking the bank!!
I had a boss who, years ago, belittled anyone who would stoop so low as to wear anything from the Gap. Ever, under any circumstances. The Gap was treated like a golden, shimmering, once-in-a-blue-moon treat because it was so expensive and out of reach where I grew up. I dreamed of having even one piece of clothing from there some day.
Real. Sometimes I lie that my Gap clothes are from Old Navy so people don’t think I’m made of money.

Greatest generation? How are you still in the workforce at over 120 years old?
Told my boss I was having car trouble and couldn’t attend to it (cause I didn’t get paid for two weeks which was their fault too) and at first she was cool with me wfh (we were a hybrid workplace) but then called me and asked if I can take the bus to work cause i was taking the bus to school!
Mind you this was also happening during the week of the LA fires
Our US CEO saw one of my AE coworker’s sneakers and said “I love those, are they Ganni?”
This isn't out of touch per se but it's always like "is this funny" as they try to target Gen z. 9 times out of ten, it is not funny
My agency of less than 100 threw a party that cost us over 100k. Also regularly throw parties that are quite cheaper but still. I got paid the bottom jr salary and didn’t get a raise after a year.
Yeah I won 8 awards in the first 2 years of my career and took 3 years to get a raise. Not saying awards are the only
Reason to get a raise, but the way the higher ups are on their knees for a little gold trophy on a project they didn't work on is like damn pay it forward a bit
Once had a GCD that looked like a xmas tree of jewelry. So cringe.
While entertaining a client at a sporting event my leadership and said client were commenting on how much the players take home in comparison to their yearly salary… “wow I can’t believe they make 2x my yearly take home if they win this one match”. I kept my mouth shut, embarrassed that my comparison was 5x. 🫠
Looking back, quarterfinalists took home $530,000 which was the game we attended so a bit more than 5x for me lol actually 🫠😂
Where are these rich GCD salaries you speak of? I’m a GCD and most of my clothes are Kirkland brand
