recently asked a question about going to law school with an accounting degree. follow up on that- if i work 1-2 years at my current firm (offered 72,500 full time after graduating undergrad) and acquire my cpa (courses and exam fees paid for by the firm), then apply to law school, would that be more beneficial? ive been reading a lot that work experience helps with the application, alongside having a high gpa and LSAT score

What are salaries like for class of 2019 in am law 50-100. I have average working attorney collections as high as our senior associates but I’m only making 215k. Trying to see what salary I should ask for.

Considering an offer to go from firm (4 YOE) to become a privacy/product counsel for a tech company (non-faang). One concern for me is the potential of a recession in late 22 into 23 with the fed rate hikes. My fear is if that happens, me being on the chopping block as new in house counsel. If I stayed at the firm, I feel reasonably secure as an associate of not being laid off due to the market. How do in house counsel positions typically fare during lay off cycles? I recently lateraled into Big Law. Most of my colleagues are homegrown. My shift did involve a big change in practice area, and there's work that I haven't done before that I now have to do.

But, sometimes I feel stupid here, even for work which I have done previously. It's like I'm unable to understand instructions the first time around. And I have seen my colleagues getting annoyed by that. It's like I've become dumb. In my defence, I could say they're giving half assed instructions.
