I’m in the Healthcare industry. I’ve seen a lot of job postings for senior level positions that I am aiming for that state “Six Sigma Certifications” highly preferred.
My goal is to expand my skill set, level up in my career, and add to my resume.
I’m not sure what industry you’re in but Six Sigma was the most worthless certification I’ve ever done in my life.
What are you looking to upskill perhaps there are other programs to recommend.
Also from a career advancement it’s done nothing (in case you’re thinking it will look good on the resume.)
Agree/disagree with PMM1. Def depends on your industry, but just having six sigma has opened up opportunities for me that I wouldn’t have had. I work in automotive.
That’s why I started with stating I don’t know what industry they are in. 😜 there are def industries it works in.
OP, you mentioned you’re in healthcare, this IS one of the industries where I hear it’s worth it.
The Eccles School of Business has decent lssgb/lssbb programs - online or in-person I think.
I’ve been in manufacturing most of my career, and this is a certification that helps to develop the continuous improvement mentality regarding defects and waste. If you’re currently employed see if you can get your company to reimburse you, as it would be an asset for them. Not only that, but it’s also good for networking with other people of the same mindset.
