I had a HR discussion yesterday about salary and other things and earlier when I started the process I told them a 40% hike over the current base salary which is 25 LPA ( 2.8 years of experience) which will make 35 lpa base but HR said no out of budget and ready for 32 LPA+ sign on bonus of 2.5 lac+ 25% bonus which makes final CTC is 42 LPA.

I am currently in UBS as a quant and in Morgan Stanney getting strats role ( investment banking) at associate level.

Please suggest your point

What should I reasonably expect from a junior?

I manage a junior developer that's been with the company for about 18 months. I end up providing them of TON of support. I need to give them extremely detailed instructions or they fail. For bugs, I need to point them to a specific function that's causing the bug. For new features, I'm basically writing their method signatures and defining their test cases.

I've tried asking them to do more on their own, but when I do, they fail spectacularly.

I had call with the HR for he position based out of Mumbai everything in interview and they are ready to share the offer. however, I quoted for 10 lakhs and they said for fixed pay of 8.75.
Although, i checked on Google as well average pay they are giving is 9.7 lakh
So should I accept the offer as per their negotiation or shall positively tell them why 10 lakh is justified?

Yesterday I attended MS hackerrank test and was able to solve some Java based MCQ and one sql query correctly but not able to execute a code with any passed test case so should I expect a call from a recruiter for an interview?

There is a VP in MS ,who is running behind people, and seeking suggestions from people to increase hike
