64k is very good in Manchester. You will get 3800 pounds post tax. 1200 for a 2 bed apartment + 800 for everything else.
If you have a partner then it’s a plus.
You’d have very similar lifestyle and savings in both places. Now when I say similar, it’s not same, you’d live like a middle class in the UK (which is quite comfortable), but like a king in India (on a 2L+ take home).
UK is not a place where you can build a lot of wealth, if you wanna travel Europe for 2-5 yrs, come and then head back. Otherwise there’s no major upside.
What’s your career aspirations. Want to move on short term basis for quick savings or long term? UK is bit expensive at the moment and may hit saving goals badly. However, if you are looking for long term then certainly it would more beneficial and there is no comparison of lifestyle between India and UK. 64K is medium range salary so 60-70% of it will be exhausted in living expenses.
How did you apply for the UK position? I am trying for similar positions. Any suggestions/ help will be highly appreciated.
