Is it ok if i talk to my manager to revise my salary as per market standards as i feel it is very less even as per my designation in company. My appraisals happned in march this year....it was my mistake that i didnt discuss this at that time... is it ok to talk now?

Hello, does anyone work as an auto underwriter for insurance? I recently got accepted for an internal job position and was offered $50k. I’m currently a claim processor making $20/hour so the offer is more than what i’m making but is low in comparison to the average salary for an auto underwriter in AZ (which is around $58k). I believe because the company knows how much i’m making they lowballed me. Any tips on how to navigate the salary negotiation and can u share ur salary ?

When someone calls your previous places of employment, what can they legally ask? I was told they can verify length of employment. I’ve heard they can or can’t ask if they would hire you back, I was told they cannot ask your previous salary. Does anyone know the facts?

Coming up on a year of working for a foreign govt in the US for less than a livable wage in my current city. 34, post grad in Political Science (globalization focus). 7 years doing administration and public relations for a philanthropic org. whilst finishing an undergraduate degree and some graduate coursework in philosophy. Followed by 8 years of doing brand identity mgmt. event production, recruitment and education for a university and it’s connected organizations. Do I need a coach or shrink?

Has anyone been in a relationship where it’s so wrong but feels so right at the same time? Wrong in the sense that we are different religions, speak different languages (common language is English) and have an overall different outlook on life. Right in the sense that he treats me so well, he’s grounded and driven. I am so torn.

Companies are loosing lot of talent by ignoring experienced people with break in career and want to rejoin the work.

Having hard time getting interview just because i have break. HR don't consider at all even if I have multiple programming languages knowledge and skills that is more than enough for the role.
