I recently cleared my interview as a Sr Business Analyst in HCL Tech. The position is based out of Hyderabad, India.

During the recruiter call, the HR person never mentioned the role is in US CST hours (so it will be a night shift in India). I was told by the interview panel after the interview regarding the night shift.

Is there any way to negotiate with them for a regular shift. I am ok to work till 12 in the night, after that I cannot work due to health reasons.

A friend of mine has just left Infosys BPM (Consultant). He is serving notice period. It's been 1 month and it seems like manager is hell bent to make him work day and night. Hey fishes, can someone tell me how the 80c bracket works, i know i can get exempt upto 1.5lakh under it, what i wanna know is does PF comes under it or not? For example if my yearly pf deduction is 20k and VPF is 10k so now will i still be able to show investment of 1.5lakh under 80c apart from PF and VPF or i'll be able to get exemption on only 1.2 lakh( 1.5lakh-30k= 1.2lakh)?

I've tried to negotiate with deloitte but they are not ready to negotiate and asking me to join on the same CTC which was initially provided. I'm confused to select the company.
